ok, so i am graduating in nearly five weeks. oh crap, make that four! i really can't think about it too much or i just might loose it. i have not done any work for my portfolio! eh, except i did order my portfolio. and i have searched through promotion pieces to give away at my show. but aside from that, nothing. i really don't know what's wrong with me. i cannot get into it. maybe i am in denial about graduating. or maybe i don't want to graduate? what the heck, of course i want to graduate and wash my hands clean of the art institute forever!!!!!!!! (emphasis in exclaimation points. needless to say i am over this shady school .. and ever so anti-ai!)
in writing this and having just looked at a calendar i am doubtful that i will get everything done. i mean, let's see - website: non-existent. logo: eh, it's ok. projects for portfolio: need some work. portfolio booth: ideas all in my head. leavebehind: recycled tote bag, definitely. oh, and slap bracelets. who doesn't remember those? now i just need to go and make about 100 of each of these.
i made a list of everything i have to get done. that's helpful.
lists definitely equal love .... to me anyway.
so i ordered my portfolio, it's wood "looking" but it's really not wood at all. i was excited about it but i got it today and now i am really not sure what i think about it. here's a photo:
and i decided i didn't want to go with a logo that has anything to do with my name or initials or anything of the sort. "danni design"? no way. "dh design" hm, even worse. anyway, i decided on the name "the art of design" which i like a lot. here are the logos i came up with. i think i am going with the first one.
feedback is much appreciated.i should stop blogging and start working.

hi danni!!!! first of all i miss ya!! we gotta go to the swap meet i want to find a fabric for my laptop bag i need to redesign it! haha anywho ok so i like the 3rd one i think the border on the first one is way too distracting and overpowering to the typography inside. i originally liked the 2nd one but i think the flower makes it awkward but i definitely like the typography portion of it the most of the 3. the 3rd one is just better balanced and the border is definily you :) but dont try to combine the typography of the 2nd with the border of the 3rd its just too much.... hope i helped!! see you soon.

i totally understand the pressure you feel haha..i've been working non stop to prepare for a big craft fair in sept. i finally made a schedule and that calmed me down for a few days but i'm back to freaking out again haha. hope we can both pull it all together! haha congrats and i can't wait to see more.
Heeeeeeeey danni, it's your good friend Curtis. Sorry I didn't comment earlier, I was just thinking of the best thing to write to you in a comment box to make it worth it, haha. Anywho, I like the 3rd on as well, though I'm not the biggest fan of the rosewood typefae (or if thats not rosewood, it's similar) I feel that another typeface may suite you better :D.
